No problems with Paoli hogging limelight in ‘Hate Story’: Nikhil Dwivedi

'Hate Story' has generated a lot of buzz online thanks to Dam's dare bare scenes.

Actor Nikhil Dwivedi, who is starring opposite Paoli Dam in errotic thriller ‘Hate Story’,says he has no problem with the debutant actress getting all the attention in the film.

The movie has generated a lot of buzz online thanks to Dam’s dare bare scenes but Dwivedi says he never had any apprehension of being over-shadowed.

“I did three films so far and I have shared screen space with actors like Mithun Chakraborty,Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in them . I never felt I was getting overshadowed.

“Similarly,I don’t have any such fear in this film. I was honest and gave my hundred per cent to the character. I am a hard-worker. I am satisfied with the way my character has shaped up in the film,” said Dwivedi.

‘Hate Story’,which will hits screens on April 20,is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Vikram Bhatt. The film is about a reporter who plots revenge against the man who ruined her life.

Dwivedi,34,is the only white character in the revenge drama and the actor says he agreed to be a part of the film only after he was assured that he will not feature in the racier sequences of the movie.

“In this film, every character has got grey shades except mine. I am playing a white character. I signed the film on a contract that I won’t be able to be the part of any sexual content in the film,” he said.

Dwivedi, who made his foray into acting four-year-ago with Mithun Chakraborty starrer ‘My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves’,said he took up the movie for emotional reasons.

“Very few are aware that I was to debut in a film with Vikram Bhatt, but due to some reasons it didn’t work out. But then it was only Vikram Bhatt,my debut film ‘My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves’ happened to me. So when Vikram approached me to do this film,I couldn’t refuse.”

Apart from ‘Hate Story’,the actor is in news for his gangster avatar in his forthcoming film ‘Tamanchey’ but he denies that his character is based on underworld don Abu Salem.

“I am playing a criminal in the film but my character is completely different from Abu Salem’s life. It’s a wild speculation and not even a single scene resembles him. It’s a love story between two people, who belongs to the wrong side of the law,” Dwivedi said.

He has also bagged the opportunity to reprise Sunny Deol’s character in the remake of blockbuster “Arjun”.

“I have also signed a film, which is a remake of Sunny Deol’s ‘Arjun’. Discussions are on and most probably Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan will direct it. So,I’m looking forward to it because it feels great to step into the shoes of those actors, whose films you have grown up watching.”
