A new judge has been appointed to preside over the involuntary manslaughter case against Michael Jackson’s former personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray.
Superior Court Judge Peter Espinoza assigned the case to Judge Michael Pastor in the presence of Murray,his lawyers and prosecutors.
Now,a date will be set for a preliminary hearing,reports the Mirror.
Meanwhile,Murray is fighting to end the ban on his California medical license.
The state attorney general,representing the state medical board,has moved to revoke Murray’s license pending trial.
Murray is charged for recommending harmful drugs including anaesthetic propofol,which allegedly caused the singers death.
However,Murray has pleaded not guilty.
