Dr Conrad Murray,who has been at the centre of the probe since the star’s death on June 25 last year,may face charges “as early as next week”,according to TMZ.

The medic was said to have roped in Hollywood lawyer J. Michael Flanagan amid fears he would be charged with involuntary manslaughter for administering the powerful sedative propofol to Jackson hours before his death,reports the Couriermail.

Flanagan said he was “probably the only attorney in town that has successfully tried a propofol case involving death.”

Jackson died aged 50 at his LA mansion after suffering cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles County coroner ruled his death as a homicide.
