Michael Jackson’s ex wife may seek children’s custody

Debbie Rowe,Michael Jackson's ex-wife who gave birth to his two elder children may go to court seeking their custody.

Debbie Rowe,Michael Jackson’s ex-wife who gave birth to his two elder children may go to court seeking their custody, even as reports emerge claiming that it is soul diva Diana Ross, who has been named the back-up guardian in the pop star’s 2002 will.

Rowe,a former nurse who had divorced Jackson in 1999,after a three year marriage had given up her parental rights to the artiste in 2001,but is now considering a bid for the custody of Prince Michael,12 and Paris Catherine,11,reported Los Angeles Times.

The pop legend’s three children are currently in the custody of his mother,Catherine Jackson,79,who has also been named as the custodian of Jackson’s estate as per the pop star’s will written in 2002.

Jackson chose close friend Diana Ross,65,to raise his three children if his mother is “is unwilling or unable” to do so,while no mention has been made of Rowe, who some reports claim was merely a surrogate and not the biological mother of the legend’s two elder children.

Rowe, who currently lives on a Palmdales farm, will attend a custody hearing on Monday and had earlier expressed her wish to have more access to the children she gave birth to.

The newspaper added that Rowe, who met Jackson while working for his dermatologist, would get preference over any designated guardian in a courtroom battle.

Rowe had initially signed a contract waiving her parental rights but she later changed her mind and went to court to contest the waiver when Jackson was charged with child molestation. An appeals court ruled in her favor in 2006,and the custody battle was eventually settled out of court.

The newspaper further added,”Court records and interviews paint Rowe as vulnerable,an animal-lover who doted lavishly on her horses, dogs and birds as though they were her children and vacillated in her desires to see the girl and boy she bore with Jackson.”

Jackson’s third child,Prince Michael II,7,was conceived with a surrogate mother, reportedly European, whose identity is not known.
