Kashmir has a bundle of talent: Anu Malik
The 52-year-old was here as a judge at a singing show,<i>Choona Hai Aasman</i>.
Music composer Anu Malik says he has become a huge fan of the singing talent in Jammu and Kashmir and feels “stars” will be born out of the state.
The 52-year-old was here as a judge at a singing show,Choona Hai Aasman,organised by Jammu and Kasmir police.
“I have come here on the invitation of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Some of the voices I heard are very good. Judging the contestants,I must say we have fantastic talent here,he said.
“Through this show,we can have many stars. I want to say that Jammu and Kashmir is a talented state. There is so much creativity here. I want to congratulate J&K police because they have done a fantastic work,” Anu Malik added.
The singer was all praises for Omar Abdullah for the good work the chief minister has done in the state.
“I congratulate him for a great job he has done in the state. There has been a tremendous development. I saw so many tourists when I arrived here.”
At the event,Farooq Abdullah also sang his favourite track Lag ja gale ke phir ye.
Anu Malik said he was happy to come to Srinagar as it is such a beautiful place.
“When I reached Dal Lake,I called a friend to know which song was picturised in the lake. I got to know that many songs have been picturised there and the song which came to our mind was Dewaana hua badal from the film Kashmir Ki Kali and I remembered Shammi (Kapoor) uncle,” he said.
