Jolie found Salt’s stunts ‘challenging’

Angelina said the action was tough,so soon after giving birth to twins.

Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie, who has done some death-defying stunts in her upcoming thriller Salt, says taking up the movie soon after the birth of her twins was a huge challenge.

The actress first read the script of the movie just days after giving birth to her twins -Vivienne and Knox- with partner Brad Pitt.

The 35-year-old star says it was difficult to imagine making an action-thriller,which would involve hi-octane stunts at that time. “When they first called me about Salt I had just had the twins and I was at home in my nightgown feeling very soft and maternal,” Jolie said in a statement.

“I remember I was with them (twins) in my bedroom, you know as you do in the early weeks when you’ve just had a baby and I flipped through the script and it was all about getting out there and attacking and being very physical and I did feel really funny,in my nightgown in my bedroom, thinking ‘if I can do this it would be a nice balance…’ You know, from being soft and Mommy and then going back to work and doing this hard, physical role. It seemed like a real challenge. And I like that,” said the actress.

Jolie, who plays Evelyn Salt has performed most of the stunts herself that including gritty fight sequences, edging along a tiny ledge 12 stories high and leaping on to moving cars.

The Tomb Raider star’s character Salt is a CIA officer, who is on the run. The film releases on July 23.
