Jean Claude Van Damme wants Avengers role

I am a big fan of Marvel's superhero Silver Surfer and Doc Savage,he said.

Action star Jean Claude Van Damme says he would love to star in The Avengers 2 because he thinks it would be fun.

The 52-year-old actor was happy to learn that Chris Hemsworth,who plays Thor in the Marvel series,wanted him to land a role in the forthcoming comic book caper.

Van Damme said that he has always been a fan of the franchise and its former president and chairman Stan Lee.

“It was my pleasure to meet Mr Stan Lee back in 1994,along with Mr Samuel & Mr Victor Hadida,” he wrote on Facebook.

“I read that Chris Hemsworth (Thor) would like me to co-star in The Avengers 2 movie! Well,it would be fun to play one of these types of amazing comic book characters again,” he added.

The actor also went on to suggest a number of comic book characters he would like to be considered for,both within the Marvel world and from other comic books.

“By the way,I am a big fan of Marvel’s superhero Silver Surfer and also another heroic fictional character known as Doc Savage – the Man of Bronze,” he said.
