HC stays release of Sanjay Dutt-starrer ‘Knock Out’

US-based studio Twentieth Century Fox had moved the High Court seeking a stay.

The Bombay High Court stayed the release of ‘Knock Out’,the film starring Sanjay Dutt,Irrfan Khan and Kangana Ranaut, over allegations of copyright violation.

US-based studio Twentieth Century Fox had moved the High Court seeking a stay, alleging that the Hindi film, slated to release tomorrow, was a scene-to-scene copy of the 2003 hit ‘Phone Booth’,which starred Colin Farell and Forest Whitaker.

Justice Roshan Dalvi watched both the films yesterday before passing the stay order.
