Actor Charlie Sheen has been released from jail after being arrested on domestic violence charges.

Actor Charlie Sheen has been released from jail after being arrested on domestic violence charges.

The ‘Wall Street’ was booked at for second-degree assault,menacing and criminal mischief,according to a spokesperson for the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Department in the Colorado ski resort of Aspen.

Sheen,44,posted an USD 8,500 bond last evening. He is due in court next on February 8,2010,People magazine reported online.

The police had received a 911 call regarding a domestic violence situation at 320 West Hallam Street in Aspen,Colo. Officers investigated and booked Sheen. The victim,thought to be his wife Brooke Mueller,was not transported to the hospital.

Sheen married Mueller,an estate agent,in May 2008. It is a third marriage for the actor,who had a tempestuous relationship with ex-wife Denise Richards with whom he has two daughters. The former couple continue to be at loggerheads over the custody of their two daughters since their divorce in 2006.
