Director Imtiaz Ali spots them,or someone spots them for him,and then,he waves them on board for his next venture. First,it was Brazilian beauty,Giselle Monteiro, whom he turned into an authentic Punjaban in 'Love Aaj Kal'. In the same film,he gave Saif Ali Khan a British girlfriend,Florence Brudenell-Bruce,whom he spotted at a mall in London. A lingerie model,Brudenell-Bruce is currently rumoured to be dating Prince Harry. For 'Rockstar',Ali revisited Brazil and will present Moudif Aziz as Nargis Fakhris Kashmiri NRI husband. Fakhri, too,is Alis new find, from America. Born in Curituba,Brazil,to parents of Portuguese and Arabic origin,Moufid Abdel Aziz Jr has been travelling around the world on modelling assignments. Till,he came to India four years ago and has been here since. I came on a three-month contract; its extended to four years now, he says over the phone from Mumbai. Great friends, scrumptious food,a riot of colours,a rushed life everything takes Aziz back to his hometown in Brazil. The similarities are uncanny, he says. While hell make his acting debut with 'Rockstar',he has already made his on-screen debut with television commercials for Lux and Slice with leading actors like Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. In 'Rockstar',he says he is the spoiler alert, and leaves us guessing as to who gets the girl. Well, all I can say is that I play a rich and very good husband to Nargis, he says. It was fun on the sets, for he and Fakhri would struggle with their Hindi diction. I am taking Hindi diction classes because I want to stay here and work in more films, shares Aziz. He believes that his mixed heritage and travel have given him a greater appreciation of the professions challenges. I dont just see myself as an actor and a model, but as an entrepreneur, who can use his business experience in the industry to start an agency, he adds. An adventure junkie at heart,Aziz loves to explore, and rates Ladakh as one of his top five favourite places. Agras Taj Mahal and Cochin follow. But why Bollywood? He says the industry is pulling talent from all over the world. India is growing and has an immense potential. Everyone wants to be a part of it. Everyone is looking for new faces, and a mix of cultures doesnt harm, he signs off. It surely doesn't.
