Adnan relieved after wife withdraws domestic violence case

Adnan said his marriage with Sabah was null and void as while remarrying him she had not followed the Shariat rule.

A day after wife Sabah withdrew the domestic violence complaint filed against him,singer Adnan Sami said that he felt vindicated after being absolved of the charges.

“I always knew that truth will prevail. There was no truth in those allegations (of domestic violence). Finally,it is there for everyone to see,” the Pakistani singer told reporters at a press conference.

“All the people who know me,know what kind of a person I am. I’m a happy-go-lucky person who does not want to harm anyone,” Adnan said.

Asked whether he held a grudge against his wife following the controversy,the singer said that he still loved his wife.

“I still love my wife but she does not want my son to come here or my parents to stay with me.”

“She got possessive but love has different forms…The love which I have for her cannot be compared to the love I have for my parents or my son,” he said.

Adnan said that in a way his marriage with Sabah was null and void as while remarrying him she had not followed the Shariat (Hilal) rule.

The couple is now seeking divorce at a family court here.
