When Rajinikanth praised Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan asked, ‘What does one do to become Shahenshah?’

Rajinikanth had previously heaped praise on Shah Rukh Khan and had revealed the one thing he liked about King Khan.

Actor Rajinikanth, who often refers to Amitabh Bachchan as the ‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood, was once questioned by Shah Rukh Khan about the secret to becoming the ‘Shahenshah’. During an interview at the NDTV Indian of the Year Awards, Shah Rukh and Karan Johar took on the roles of the audience and had some interesting questions for Rajinikanth. SRK took the opportunity to ask a question and received a very humble response in return.

When Karan asked Rajinikanth, “Who do you regard as an actor par excellence in the Bombay film fraternity?” The actor had said, “Amitabh Bachchan.” However, SRK had a follow up question and he asked, “What does one do to become Shahenshah, sir?” Rajinikanth simply said, “I am telling you, Shah Rukh, you will one day become Shahenshah.” As reported by DNA, Rajinikanth had previously opened up about Amitabh and had called him ‘Shahenshah’. Rajinikanth had said, “I am the king. He (Amitabh) is the emperor.”

Rajinikanth was all praise for SRK and his film Chak De. The Jailer actor said, “He is an excellent actor. One thing I like about him is his integrity. He is very serious to promote our Indian sports, like hockey. Hats off to you. I saw that picture, Chak De. I will try to do that kind of a role, Shah Rukh.” SRK replied and said, “Thank you sir. But I notice that you are just talking about my sports and not my acting.”

Shah Rukh, who was recently seen in the blockbuster film Jawan, often interacts with his fans via social media. When one of the fans asked him about Rajinikanth, SRK said, “Bossman.” Rajinikanth was recently seen in the film Jailer. Helmed by Nelson, the film reportedly made more than Rs 650 crore globally. The film also starred Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff among others.
