Director duo Abbas-Mustan collaborated with superstar Shah Rukh Khan for films like Baazigar and Baadshah. While fans of the actor await the next collaboration of the trio, Abbas-Mustan have revealed that they are trying their best to make it happen. However, they revealed their major obstacle and said that there are no ‘interesting’ scripts for the actor.
In an interview with Radio Nasha, the director duo said, “We have done a lot of meetings and even today when we meet Shah Rukh or go to his house, he still meets us with so much respect and gives us time. He never made us feel that he is not the old Shah Rukh Khan. We will surely do a film with him, definitely. But we don’t have a script for him.”
Abbas-Mustan said that whenever they meet Shah Rukh Khan, he asks, “Kuch laaye ho? Anything exciting?” They continued, “We have not received anything that might be new to him. Aisa koi script he nahi hai. He is an expert. He can play any role. If we get, we will obviously work with him.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan recently gave an update about his next film. In an interview with Star Sports, Shah Rukh said, “I just felt I can rest a little. I have done two to three films and there was a lot of physical work also in all the three films. So I said maybe I will take some time off and I told the whole team (Kolkata Knight Riders) ‘main aaunga matches dekhne.’”
The actor continued, “Fortunately, my shooting is in August or July. We planned in June, so it may start in June. So I am absolutely free till then. So I would like to come to all the home matches, because I love coming here (Eden Gardens).”
