Vicky Kaushal says his Sam Bahadur is ‘sandwiched’ between Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3 and Merry Christmas: ‘Great spot to be in’

While Katrina Kaif will have Yash Raj Film's actioner Tiger 3 and Merry Christmas releasing later this year, Vicky Kaushal will arrive with his theatrical, Sam Bahadur on December 1.

Actor couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal will have three films coming out in the next two months and the latter says the conversation back home is of absolute joy as they’re happy for each other.

During Diwali next month, Katrina will return with her fan favourite role as the spy Zoya in the Yash Raj Film’s actioner Tiger 3. In the film, Katrina will reunite with superstar Salman Khan. Two weeks after the big spectacle, Vicky Kaushal will arrive with his theatrical, Sam Bahadur.

After Vicky’s opening on December 1, Katrina will again come on the big screen with Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas, which is slated to release on December 7. The thriller will see her star alongside actor Vijay Sethupathi, recently seen in Jawan.

When asked about their films coming back to back, Vicky said, “She’s excited for my film and I’m also excited for hers. She doesn’t just have one film after my movie, she has one film (Tiger 3) two weeks before mine also. So I’m sandwiched between her films—and that’s a great spot to be in!”

The actor was speaking at the trailer launch of Sam Bahadur. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film features him as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

The film also stars Sanya Malhotra as his wife Siloo, and Fatima Sana Shaikh plays Indira Gandhi in the film. Neeraj Kabi and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub also star in the film as Jawaharlal Nehru and Yahya Khan.

Sam Manekshaw was the first Indian Army officer to have been promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. He is credited for India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh

Sam Bahadur will be Vicky Kaushal’s third release of the year after the superhit comedy drama Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and The Great Indian Family, which was a box office washout.
