With the release of director Shashank Khaitan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari right around the corner, actor Varun Dhawan and his co-stars are busy with promotional activities. Recently, he participated in the movie’s trailer launch in Mumbai alongside actor Janhvi Kapoor, who plays the female lead, setting the stage for his first film of the year.

Now, a new video has emerged online showing the actor in the economy class of a passenger flight, patiently waiting in line for his turn to exit. In the video, shared by a paparazzo account on Instagram, Varun can also be seen posing for selfies with fellow passengers who requested them and shaking hands with a fan. As those around him looked on with excitement, Varun greeted them with a warm smile.

For Varun, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is of utmost importance, and its success is crucial as it’s his first film since the commercially and critically panned Baby John (2024). In fact, he hasn’t had a theatrical hit since Bhediya (2022). Considering that his previous collaborations with Shashank Khaitan — Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) — were both commercial blockbusters, Varun is hopeful that this romantic comedy will end his dry spell.

At the trailer launch of the movie, Varun had also commented on the topic of skyrocketing entourage costs and emphasised that Bollywood has become mindful of the issue now. “Dharma is home for me and it will always be. When I work in a film that’s produced by Dharma, I feel like it is my film. Dharma takes care of its actors in the best way, and there is equality. It is said that the hero gets a bigger room and the actress the smaller one, that’s not the case here.”

He added, “I have four people in my entourage. I never get my managers on set, because my father had made this rule that no managers will come on set. On his set, I never took managers, so I can’t do it on others also.”
