It’s World War 2 in Bawaal and off screen, a dance face-off– with a funny twist.  Actors Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor collaborated with an influencer to promote their latest romantic drama Bawaal.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Varun playing a history teacher, who takes Janhvi’s character on a trip to Europe to visit World War 2 sites. The actors collaborated with influencer Dharna Durga and did a funny dance video.

In the video, which Varun captioned, “Chik chik zig zig” on Instagram, Dharna is seen teaching the actor–in her style that she is known for—some hilarious dance moves, which he is seen sincerely trying to follow.

Later, the duo is joined by Janhvi, who also attempts the funny moves, as the influencer stays in her act of seriously pulling off a goofy dance choreography, on the film’s songs like “Dilon Ki Doriyan” and “Tumhe Kitna Pyaar Karte”, with gibberish lyrics in between.

When Varun posted the reel on Tuesday, Janhvi commented, “Go to sleep”. Actor Nakuul Mehta posted laughing emojis while Neha Kakkar wrote, “Bhattack bhattack! 🤣👌🏼”

Bawaal is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on July 21. This will be Varun’s first direct-to-OTT film of the year, after two consecutive theatrical releases last year with the family comedy drama Jugjugg Jeeyo and the creature comedy Bhediya, which is set to have a sequel.
