Suhana Khan is currently engrossed in the promotions of her debut film, The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar. The star-kid will be portraying the character of Veronica Lodge in the Netflix production, which draws inspiration from the American comic book series of the same name. During a recent interview with Vogue India, Suhana was presented with hypothetical scenarios, and asked how both she and her on-screen counterpart, Veronica, would respond.

One of the situations was how Suhana and her character discovering that their boyfriends were texting other girls. Suhana said that while Veronica has a string of admirers pursuing her, she would proactively initiate connections with other guys herself. However, when asked how she would personally react, Suhana said, “I would dump him because I am the type of girl who strictly likes a one-woman man.”

When asked about her and Veronica’s approach in the event of false rumours circulating about them, Suhana responded, “Veronica would say that people talk about her only because nobody is listening when they talk about themselves.” Sharing her personal stand on the situation, she said, “Well, I think I’m very different from the character I play. I would have a nice big cry about it.”

The Archies release date was officially announced on August 29. The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on December 7. It marks the acting debut of Suhana Khan, daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan; Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda, grandson of megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

According to the filmmakers, the movie delves into themes of friendship, independence, love, heartbreak, and rebellion through the lives of iconic characters like Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton.
