Sunny Kaushal says his family is feeling ‘nervous’ as Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif prepare to welcome their first child: ‘Kya hoga aage jaake’

Vicky Kaushal’s younger brother and actor Sunny Kaushal has shared how the family is overjoyed after the Uri actor and Katrina Kaif announced their pregnancy.

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are all set to welcome their first child. After the couple announced Katrina’s pregnancy, the internet was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities alike. Now, Vicky’s younger brother and actor Sunny Kaushal has shared how the family is overjoyed and eagerly awaiting the arrival of the newest member, while also feeling a bit nervous about the new chapter.

Speaking to Instant Bollywood, Sunny said, “Sabhi ko badi Khushi hai and nervous bhi hai ki kya hoga aage jaake (Everyone is happy and nervous also. We do not know what will happen ahead). Waiting for that day to come.”

On September 23, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal shared a joint post on Instagram announcing the pregnancy. They shared a photo of a Polaroid picture of themselves, in which Vicky is seen caressing Katrina’s baby bump. The actor is seen wearing a white top and jeans in the photo. The caption read, “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude. 🙏🏽.”

Many celebrities took to social media to congratulate the couple. Anushka Sharma wrote, “Congratulations ❤️.” Preity Zinta commented, “SOOOO HAPPY for you guys ❤️ Congratulations 🎉 Loads of love always 😍.” Rajkummar Rao, who will also soon become a father for the first time, wrote, “Congratulations to both of you ❤️❤️.” Ali Fazal, who welcomed a baby girl with Richa Chadha last year, commented, “Congratulationsssss guys. So sweet. Mubaarak❤️.”

In an old interview with Filmfare, Katrina Kaif had spoken about her thoughts on family and parenthood. Raised by her mother Suzanne Turquotte after her parents’ separation, Katrina reflected on growing up without a father figure and how she doesn’t want the same for her child. She said, “Not having a father figure does create a certain vacuum and makes any girl feel vulnerable. When I have kids, I want them to have the experience of being with both parents.”
