Months before they are seen together on screen, The Archies team was spotted at an unlikely place– Mumbai airport. Actors Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda among others were clicked at the airport on Tuesday morning.

The team, also including actors Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda, was spotted at the airport as they left to reportedly attend the Tudum event in Brazil. The Netflix series is directed by Zoya Akhtar.

The actors wore jackets which read ‘Netflix The Archies’. According to videos surfaced on social media, The Archies team posed for the paps, who wished them good luck for the big event. In one of the videos, a fan interrupted their group picture–with a little girl by her side–and got clicked with The Archies team, much to the annoyance of the photographers.

Billed as a live-action musical, The Archies will mark the acting debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana, megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya and actor Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi. While Suhana stars as the diva, Veronica, Khushi would be seen as the girl-next-door Betty, and Agastya plays the titular lead.

Netflix has partnered with Archie Comics for the 1960s-set film, a coming-of-age story that will introduce the teenagers of Riverdale to a new generation in India. It is backed by Zoya and filmmaker Reema Kagti through their production house Tiger Baby.
