The release of Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif’s upcoming terror drama, ‘Phantom’ has been postponed from April to August. Apparently the reason for this delay is that there are quite a few similarities to Neeraj Pandey’s recently released ‘Baby’ starring Akshay Kumar, which is going strong at the box office.

The plot of the two films is said to be quite similar. ‘Phantom’ tells the tale of Daniyal, who travels from India to Europe, America and West Asia seeking justice, post the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai. ‘Baby’ on the other hand, revolves around Ajay Rajput, who journeys to Istanbul, Nepal and Abu Dhabi on a special mission.

Another similarity is that both the leading actresses of the two films, Katrina Kaif and Taapsee Pannu play secret service agents. Hence, the makers decided not to release ‘Phantom’ so close to ‘Baby’.
