Sikandar Day 9 Box Office Collection Worldwide: Salman Khan’s Eid release Sikandar hasn’t had a smooth run at the box office. The film opened to a lukewarm response, and although it witnessed a spike in collections on Eid (its second day) and the day after, the momentum didn’t last. Since then, Sikandar has seen a consistent drop in its earnings. It also failed the crucial Monday litmus test, recording a sharp decline. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 1.75 crore on Monday, taking its total domestic box office collection to Rs 104.25 crore. Its global collection stands at Rs 168 crore.

Sikandar started its box office journey with disappointing numbers as it raked in Rs 26 crore on day one of its release. It minted Rs 29 crore and Rs 19.5 crore on the next two days of release. However, after this, the film saw a constant drop, raking in Rs 9.75 crore, Rs 6 crore, and Rs 3.5 crore. Even on the first weekend after its release, the film didn’t show an improvement, as it minted Rs 4 crore and Rs 4.5 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. This was followed by a steeper fall on Monday.

Apart from being one of the recent lowest openers of Salman Khan’s career, Sikandar is also one of the lowest-performing Salman Khan Eid releases. Salman’s last Eid release was Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which also didn’t perform well at the box office and had minted Rs 95.8 crore within the same time frame of 9 days.

Salman’s last release was Tiger 3, and even that wasn’t a success, as it had minted Rs 464 crore worldwide against a reported budget of Rs 300 crore. Despite being a low performer, Tiger 3 had minted Rs 237.25 crore within 9 days of release, which is much higher than Sikandar’s Rs 104.25 crore.

The road ahead will get more bumpy and tough for Sikandar as Sunny Deol’s Jaat will release in theatres on April 10, giving stiff competition to the Salman Khan-starrer. As of now, it looks difficult for the film to cross the Rs 150 crore mark in India.
