This Sunday marked a remarkable day for Shah Rukh Khan and his Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as they secured a victory against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on their home ground. Various heartening moments from the match, held at Kolkata’s iconic Eden Gardens, went viral on social media. Among them was Shah Rukh Khan’s motivational speech to his team, which remined fans of his iconic role in the film Chak De India.

Before kick-off, SRK delivered a speech to the players and expressed his joy at witnessing the team’s unity. He also asked the senior and international members to mentor the younger players by sharing their invaluable experiences. “It’s always good to see when we’re playing like a unit. Make sure they grow into great cricketers like what the seniors and international players are,” he said while thanking the younger players.

SRK’s iconic ‘Sattar Minute Hain Tumhare Paas’ locker room speech to female Hockey players from Chak De India became a cultural phenomenon. The speech was loved by fans because it wasn’t about winning the game rather enjoying it.

Another viral moment from the match featured Shah Rukh Khan picking up discarded team flags from the seats and floor of the VIP section. As he collected the flags and handed them to his bodyguard, fans cheered for him. After tidying up the area, he turned around and reciprocated the love by blowing a flying kiss to his fans.

SRK was accompanied his kids, Suhana Khan and AbRam, at the match. A video capturing Suhana Khan’s nervous anticipation and visible relief during the tense moments of the match also garnered attention on social media. Bollywood actor Ananya Panday was also spotted cheering for KKR, accompanying her close friend Suhana.
