Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan finally announces new release date, watch announcement video

In June 2022, a title announcement video showed a sneak peek of the film that intrigued the audience. It was one of the three titles of SRK that was scheduled to release in 2023. This year, Shah Rukh has already created history with his film Pathaan making it one of the biggest Hindi box office successes of all time. The film made over Rs 1000 crore globally.

The Atlee film has Shah Rukh Khan starring alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. In a previous Twitter AMA chat, Shah Rukh was asked about working with Atlee and the actor said, “He is a mad mass director and very hard working. His wife and him are lovely.”

Vijay Sethupathi, who is playing the antagonist in Jawan, spoke to India Today and shared how he landed the part.  “I met SRK at Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s wedding and I told him ‘I want to be a bad guy for you, sir.’ He said, ‘We were really hoping to cast you.’ From that conversation, we met and Jawan happened.”

After Jawan, SRK will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki.
