Shah Rukh Khan expresses concern for Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant; says he saw horrifying CCTV footage of his accident: ‘These age boys are like my sons’

In a previous match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals at Vizag, actor Shah Rukh Khan and cricketer Rishabh Pant had a memorable interaction. In a recent interview, SRK opened up about the interaction with Pant.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, along with his son AbRam, donned their purple caps on Monday to cheer for their team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, as they faced off against the Delhi Capitals at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. SRK was seen cheering for his team.

In a previous match between the same teams at Vizag, Shah Rukh and Rishabh Pant had a memorable interaction. SRK congratulated the players after KKR’s victory over DC and when Pant stood up to greet King Khan, the actor insisted he remain seated, given his recent injury.

In a new interview with Star Sports, Shah Rukh Khan talked about Pant and his recent interaction with the cricketer. He said, “I saw the video, that CCTV footage. Horrifying. These age boys are like my sons. Rishabh himself. When a sportsperson gets hurt, it’s a double jeopardy. I hope his knee gets fine. That is why I was telling him not to get up. I’m glad Rishabh is back, and I hope he keeps playing well.”

Despite being horrified by the accident, his joy at Rishabh’s well-being was evident when he insisted on him not getting up last time KKR played against DC. In a video shared by fan clubs, SRK was seen arriving at the stadium with his son AbRam, all dressed in purple. The actor waved at fans, as they cheered for him. In another video, the Pathaan actor was seen smiling after the dismissal of Abhishek Porel of Delhi Capitals. Fans cheered for Shah Rukh and two women were also seen doing SRK’s signature pose.
