When Saroj Khan said Salman Khan threatened not to work with her after becoming a top hero, came to her aid when she was unemployed
In an old video clip, which has been doing the rounds on the internet, late choreographer Saroj Khan is seen talking about the time when Salman Khan vowed to not work with her ever again.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan once had an alleged fallout with the late choreographer Saroj Khan because he believed she gave better dance steps to Aamir Khan in the 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna. In an old video clip, which has been doing the rounds on the internet, Saroj is seen talking about the time when Salman used indecent words with her and vowed to not work with her ever again. However, the actor came forward to help the choreographer when she was out of work in the later years of her life.
In the clip which has been shared by a Reddit user, Saroj Khan claims that Salman was upset since Aamir was given ‘star moves’ in Andaz Apna Apna. But Saroj did as was asked by her director. She said in the video, “I did exactly what my director told me. If you felt bad then I’m very sorry.” After the fiasco, Salman allegedly told Saroj, “I will not work with you once I become the top hero in the industry.”
However, Salman’s words didn’t affect the popular choreographer who had already gained success with songs like “Hawa Hawaai”, “Ek Do Teen”, “Tamma Tamma Loge”, “Hum Ko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar”, and many others. She said, “You won’t work with me? Roti Allah deta hai… Tu nahi deta hai (God looks after my living, you don’t feed me).”
But, in 2019, Saroj Khan only admitted to Salman coming to her help when the film industry had stopped giving her work. She had then told Midday, “When we met, Salman asked me what I was doing nowadays. So I told him honestly that I don’t have any work [film offers], and that I am teaching Indian classical dance to young actresses. Upon hearing that, he said, ‘Now, you will work with me’. I know he is a man of his word, so he will keep his promise.”
Salman and Saroj Khan worked together in only two films, Biwi Ho Toh Aisi (1988) and Andaz Apna Apna (1994).
The ace choreographer passed away in July 2020 following a cardiac arrest. In a career spanning four decades, Khan choreographed nearly 2000 songs.
