Sanjeeda Sheikh credits Hrithik Roshan’s eyes for her performance in Fighter: ‘Not difficult to act while looking in his eyes’

Actor Sanjeeda Sheikh, who is predominantly known for her work in television, plays a pivotal role in Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s latest release Fighter. In a recent conversation, the actor shared her experience of working with the two stars, complementing their expressive eyes and how it accentuated her own performance.

In a conversation with Connect FM Canada, Sanjeeda revealed that she secured the role in Fighter while training for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming web series, Heeramandi. Bhansali’s advice to emote with her eyes during their training session significantly impacted her performance in Fighter, especially opposite actors like Hrithik and Deepika.

Sharing the same, Sanjeeda said, “When you have an actor like Hrithik Roshan, it’s not difficult to act while looking in his eyes. Same goes for Deepika, she has beautiful eyes. It gets easier when you have such expressive co-actors. You have nothing else but to give your best.”

Fighter marks the third collaboration between Hrithik and filmmaker Siddharth Anand, following their successful ventures in War and Bang Bang. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Fighter’s director Siddharth Anand discussed the possibility of a sequel. He said, “The audience will decide. We’ll see. It’s been just three days since the film release. I think audience ka pyaar (love) will decide what we will do, and we would love to make Fighter 2 a larger story. We have some great ideas that we want to put it down to.”

Despite a triumphant start, Fighter faces challenges at the box office. This film failed to pass the Monday test with its collection constantly declining. It has raked in Rs 134.25 crore in India till date, with its global collection standing at Rs 220 crore. The movie also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi in pivotal roles.
