Sanjay Dutt to play antagonist in Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’?

Rumour has it that Sanjay Dutt has been roped in to play the antagonist in 'Shuddhi', being directed by Karan Malhotra.

Karan Johar’s magnum opus ‘Shuddhi’ has been in news since the first announcement of the project. With Salman Khan playing the lead in the movie, the project and the speculations urrounding it gained more steam.

Rumour has it that Sanjay Dutt has been roped in to play the antagonist in the movie, being directed by Karan Malhotra.

“Sanjay has been approached to play a significant role in the film, and the talks are on,” said a source.

Since May 2013, Sanjay Dutt has been serving a 42-month long sentence at Pune’s Yerwada jail for illegal possession of weapons during the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.

Karan Malhotra, who earlier directed the 2012 remake of Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Agneepath’, will direct ‘Shuddhi’. The movie is slated to hit the screens in December 2015.
