Many actors in the film industry have spoken about how Salman Khan has supported them in their careers. Recently, Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh Chakraborty recalled a heartwarming gesture by the Sikandar actor. He shared how Salman had volunteered to showcase the teaser of Mimoh’s debut film Jimmy in theatres, ahead of the screening of his own film Partner. He told Digital Commentary, "Salman bhai has helped me a lot. He has always been there. He has been an elder brother. He loves dad. Salman bhai suggested my father that we should show Jimmy's teaser with his film Partner in theatres. Partner was releasing at that time. The title of the film Jimmy was given by Sohail Khan." Despite screening Jimmy's teaser with Partner, Mimoh’s film flopped at the box office, leaving him depressed. "I went to the theatre to see Partner with my whole family. Partner was housefull, Govinda was also making his comeback with it, and when the teaser appeared, people went silent but after 5 seconds they started clapping. I was 24 at that time, I had thought I have arrived. People saw my dance and they started whistling and dancing. I was on cloud nine. I thought I have become a star. It felt good. But on Friday afternoon, after the film released, the phone stopped ringing, cheques bounced - all within a flash. At that time, my whole world crashed. I felt my life was over. I didn't leave the house for a year," he said. Mimoh Chakraborty also recalled Salman Khan inviting him to the Sultan set to boost his morale. He recalled, "While shooting Sultan, he called my mom and asked her to send me to the film's set. He lives like a superstar, he has an aura. I spent the day with him. He told an assistant director on the set pointing towards me, 'You are finding it difficult to do what you are doing, but look at him, he isn't even getting a chance to struggle.' I still remember his words like give me a chance atleast. Salman told me to hold on and he said that he will stand with me and an opportunity will come. Abhishek Bachchan said the same thing to me - don't listen to anyone, remember who you are." After debuting in Jimmy, Mimoh starred in films like Haunted – 3D, Loot, Rocky and more, but none achieved box office success. He was last seen in web show Khakee: The Bengal Chapter.
