Salman Khan most misunderstood by Bollywood, want to direct him in film with Shah Rukh, Aamir: Kangana Ranaut
At the trailer launch of Emergency, Kangana Ranaut expressed her desire to direct Bollywood's three Khans — Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan — while sharing her thoughts on their unexplored artistic potential.

Kangana Ranaut, currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Emergency, recently expressed her desire to direct Bollywood’s three Khans — Salman, Shah Rukh, and Aamir — while sharing her thoughts on their unexplored artistic potential. The actor-politician also opened up about her association with Salman Khan, describing him as the most misunderstood actor in the film industry.
At the trailer launch event for Emergency in Mumbai, Kangana was asked if she would consider directing all three Khans in a single film. She enthusiastically responded, “I would love to direct and produce films all three Khans. I would love to show their talented side, where they can act and they can also look good and, at the same time, do something that is very significant to the society. I would love to make a film like that because I think that they are very talented. They are generating a lot of revenue for the industry and we should be eternally grateful to them. They are engaging with the masses who need that kind of entertainment but I also think that they have a very artistic side of them, which hasn’t been explored other than a few films. I would love to explore that.”
Though Kangana doesn’t mind directing the three Khans, she claimed to be a forever fan of Irrfan Khan and expressed regret at not being able to direct him. “One actor that I regret not being able to direct is Irrfan Khan. He is one of my favourite Khans and I will always miss him,” she said,
Talking about Salman Khan and how he is misunderstood by people in the film industry, she said, “Salman Khan has a massive fan following; people love him so much. He is the most loved star in the country. Those who compete with him and people in the film industry are the only ones who have misunderstood him, and that is because they are jealous of him and want to be in his position,” she explained.
The Queen actor further discussed how she, too, has faced hate from certain industry insiders but chooses to focus on the overwhelming support she receives from her fans. “I get so much love from everywhere. People from the Opposition love me so much. They make me sit on their tables and don’t let me go. They says, ‘You are our heroine too. We have seen your films.’ They talk to me about my films. It surprises me. Obviously, I won’t be liked by people of the film industry because they would want people from their gang and their families to be in this position. I won’t acknowledge them. If 90 percent people love me, why will I look at the rest 10 percent,” she said.
Emergency is based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Besides playing the lead role, Kangana has also directed and co-produced the film. The movie is set to release in theatres on September 6.
