Television actor Ridhima Pandit, known for her role in Bahu Humari Rajni Kant and her appearance on Bigg Boss OTT 1, recently became the talk of the town after rumours of her impending marriage to star cricketer Shubman Gill spread like wildfire on social media. To set the record straight, Ridhima took to Instagram and refuted all such claims. She also addressed the matter in an interview, revealing that she doesn’t even know him.

In her Instagram video, which was widely shared by social media portals, she said, “Good morning. I have been woken up by a barrage of calls from journalists, and this has never happened. A lot of them want to know about my upcoming marriage, but to whom? No, nothing is happening. Go on with your day. I will tell you if something happens.”

In a recent interview with Filmygyan, Ridhima reiterated that there is no truth to these rumours. She said, “No (about dating Shubman)! Firstly, I don’t even know him. I think he’s an amazing sports person, but main unhe jaanti nahi (I don’t know him). Jab main kabhi unhe milungi, I am pretty sure hum log hasenge iss baare mein (If I ever meet him, we will laugh about this). I think he is very, very cute, but unfortunately, there’s nothing that is happening.”

In another interview with E Times, Ridhima expressed concern that such rumours might hinder her chances of finding the perfect partner. She said, “I am single and ready to mingle, but because of these rumours, probable suitors now won’t come forward I think. I do want to get married and settle down.”

Earlier, Shubman Gill was rumoured to be dating Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar. Later, rumours of him dating Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan surfaced after they were spotted together on a dinner date. However, the Kedarnath actor later refuted such claims on Koffee With Karan Season 8, saying, “You have got the wrong Sara, guys. Sara ka sara duniya galat Sara ke peechay pada hai (the whole world is after the wrong Sara).”
