Rakul Preet Singh on making relationship with Jackky Bhagnani official: ‘A fact of life I wouldn’t want to hide’

Rakul, in an interview with indianexpress.com, speaks about the belief system she and Jackky share. She says, “Both of us are not from the school of thought that believes in hiding a relationship. I think as adults it’s the most natural progression of any human being and it’s a fact of life that I wouldn’t want to hide. Do I want to make news with it every time? No. It’s a fact of life, that I can also live freely and that’s it.”

While their relationship is official, the speculations around their wedding are now a part of conversation amongst her fans and media. “They have already gotten me married twice by the way. I got married in December and I got married in February. So, I am sure that they will get to know when I get married,” says Rakul, who takes these reports in good spirit and add, “I just laugh it off. It’s with so much conviction that they write and I am on a film’s set and I am like ‘where is this coming from’.”

The actor has been promoting her thriller film I Love You, which released on Jio Cinemas on June 16. The film’s trailer shows Rakul in trouble after a rogue lover comes after her.

The film, directed by Nikhil, caught Rakul’s attention as soon as she read the script. She is especially, in awe of her character Satya and says, “For me the most exciting part was when Nikhil narrated the script, I thought it was a very cool, edgy, young and fast paced film. Something that I haven’t done before. There hasn’t been one like this in the recent past.”

The actor adds, “I just love my character and I feel every girl should be like Satya. She is so caring, loving , work-driven, a normal girl living her life but inside her there is determination and strength that she displays when right time comes and for me that was very exciting. And just the way the film is written, I loved the script.”
