Sunny Deol’s younger son, Rajveer Deol, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the Rajshri Productions film, Dono. And, senior Deol is over the moon. He is confident that his son ‘can act.’ In a recent interview, Rajveer shared how his father reacted when he watched Dono for the first time.

While speaking to India Today, Rajveer shared how ‘happy’ Sunny Deol is with his debut. “Dad’s happy. I don’t think I ever had a conversation with him about becoming an actor. I think he always just knew that I would take this route. They were happy. My dad was relieved. He told Avnish (Barjatya) ‘My son can act,'” the debutant shared.

Since Rajveer comes from a family of actors (father Sunny Deol, grandfather Dharmendra, uncles, Bobby Deol and Abhay Deol), the audience might have expectations from him to be like his predecessors, but he plans to have his individuality in the industry.

He said, “The one thing that relaxed me was that I should not try to be my dad, my Dada, or Chachas. Having an individual stamp on this industry takes its time, but I shouldn’t be pressured by all the greats that have come from my family.”

However, the actor had earlier said that uncle Abhay influenced him. He told NBT Entertainment, “Abhay chacha showed me a different world for movies. And my interest rose after that and so you can see a bit of influence from him in me.”

Dono also marks the debut of Poonam Dhillon’s daughter, Paloma Thakeria and filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s son, Avnish Barjatya. The film is a romantic drama that unfolds during a destination wedding. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 5.
