Rajat Bedi, who has been making headlines for his role in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba**ds of Bollywood, recently opened up about his journey, struggles, and comeback in the industry. The actor spoke about being “used and abused” in business and in cinema, his popular negative role in Hrithik Roshan starrer Koi Mil Gaya, and also revealed that he was excluded from the film’s promotions. Rajat plays Jaraj Saxena in  Aryan’s show, who claws his way back in the film industry after 15 years despite being insulted and sidelined for 15 years.

Speaking at the Khajuraho International Film Festival (KIFF), Rajat said, “I have been used and abused and left behind specially in my work. I have faced the consequences of trusting people. It happened in Canada. I was a real estate developer and an actor. I had partners who did the numbers on me. I faced bad consequences but it was great also for me because it made me move back to India.” The interview took place before the show came out.

He also shared that he comes from a film family and is the third-generation actor, with his son preparing to make his debut soon. “I am the third generation of a family and the good news is that the fourth generation is getting ready. My son is getting ready to become an actor.” When asked about his son’s debut, Rajat replied, “Very soon. He is 22 years old. He is far more good-looking than me.”
