Raj Kundra becomes the first contestant to exit from The Traitors: ‘It’s not who I am, my wife was right’

While exiting The Traitors, Raj Kundra claimed that his wife, Shilpa Shetty, was right, he can't even lie to save his life, let alone win a show built on deceit.

Raj KundraRaj Kundra has been eliminated from the show Traitors.

The Indian adaptation of the internationally acclaimed reality series The Traitors, hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, premiered last night on Prime Video with first three episodes. The reality show, built on the pillars of strategy, deception, and trust, wasted no time in delivering shocks. In the second episode itself, businessman and public figure Raj Kundra was unmasked as one of the “traitors” and consequently became the first contestant to exit the show.

Speaking with grace and clarity, Raj Kundra admitted that the game’s premise, requiring deceit to succeed, conflicted with his personal ethos. “I came to The Traitors to win hearts & friends,” he claimed during his departure. “As I take an exit, I feel that my wife is right. She says that I cannot lie to save my life, and it’s not who I am. I am glad that I stayed true to myself. I extend my best wishes to all the participants of The Traitors.”

To identify the deceivers hidden among them while avoiding elimination. Prime Video will continue to release new episodes every Thursday at 8 p.m., keeping viewers hooked as alliances shift and suspicions grow.

Joining Kundra in the show’s eclectic and star-studded cast are notable names from across the entertainment spectrum: Karan Kundrra, Anshula Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Norouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvee Gaurr, Apoorva Mukhija (popularly known as The Rebel Kid), Jasmine Bhasin, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, rapper Raftaar, Uorfi Javed, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Sufi Motiwala.
