Tensions are high and sides have been drawn since the video of actor-politician Jaya Bachchan pushing a fan went viral. The latest to weigh in on the matter is fellow actor-politician Kangana Ranaut. The Tanu Weds Manu star slammed Jaya for being rude to those around her, claiming that the only reason people tolerate her antics is because she is Amitabh Bachchan’s wife.

Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram Stories and reposted the video of Jaya pushing a fan, along with a caption that reads, “Most spoilt and privileged woman. People put up with her tantrums/nonsense just because she is Amitabh Bachchan ji’s wife. That Samajwadi topi looks like a rooster comb, while she looks like a rooster cock!! Such disgrace and shame.” Jaya, who is a member of the Samajwadi Party, still hasn’t made any comments about the incident, but the BJP MP from Mandi, Kangana, has made her feelings very clear.

The video Kangana Ranaut is referencing is from a political event where Jaya Bachchan can be seen wearing the trademark red cap of the Samajwadi Party. As she made her way forward, a man leaned in to take a picture with the actor, blocking her path. Jaya immediately pushed him and shouted, “What are you doing?” The confused man stepped aside as the veteran actor glared at him while walking up the stairs. The clip spread like wildfire, and the fact that this was not an isolated incident didn’t help. Jaya has had several run-ins with the media, including one just recently when she snapped at a photographer for crowding her.

Earlier in 2020, Kangana clapped back at Jaya for calling the film industry a ‘gutter’. She posted her response on X. It read, “Jaya ji, would you say the same thing if in my place it was your daughter Shweta who was beaten, drugged and molested as a teenager? Would you say the same thing if Abhishek complained about bullying and harassment constantly and was found hanging one day? Show compassion for us also.”

Kangana was last seen in Emergency, in which she portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Jaya Bachchan, meanwhile, was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani (2023), alongside Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Dharmendra.
