Actor Parineeti Chopra got engaged to politician Raghav Chadha in Delhi on Saturday. Parineeti posted several pictures on Instagram to announce the news. This is the first time that either Parineeti or Raghav has acknowledged the relationship. “Everything I prayed for .. I said yes! 💍,” she wrote in the caption. Both Parineeti and Raghav wore white, and the last picture in her post was a close-up of their hands, intertwined.

Their engagement ceremony was attended by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Priyanka Chopra, Manish Malhotra, Derek O’Brien, Abhishek Manu Singhvi and many others from the world of entertainment and politics.

The couple sparked dating rumors after they were photographed outside a few restaurants in Mumbai. While they did not make any statements about their relationship, they were clicked in Mohali while attending an IPL match which confirmed the rumours about their relationship. Parineeti and Raghav were both seen blushing, as they waved to their fans.

Ahead of their engagement, Parineeti’s house was decorated with lights. And soon after, Parineeti and Raghav were clicked together as they arrived in Delhi for their engagement.

Parineeti’s aunt Madhu Chopra, Priyanka Chopra’s mother, also congratulated the couple as she told Pinkvilla, “I am very happy for Parineeti and Raghav. With all our blessings.”

A few weeks ago Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjeev Arora took to his Twitter handle and congratulated the couple. He had written, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to @raghav_chadha and @ParineetiChopra. May their union be blessed with an abundance of love, joy, and companionship. My best wishes.”

Parineeti’s Code Name Tiranga co-star Harrdy Sandhu also indirectly confirmed the news a few weeks ago when he said in an interview, “I am so happy that it’s finally happening. I wish her all the luck.”

A source had earlier told India Today, “The duo is likely to get married by October-end of this year. Parineeti and Raghav are in no rush and they both have work commitments that they need to take care of before getting into the wedding festivities.”
