Navya Naveli Nanda shared an old video of her brother Agastya Nanda, playing a guitar, much like his character in his debut film The Archies.

The makers of The Archies have unveiled the film’s first song titled “Sunoh” on Thursday. The song serves as an introduction to the star kids Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda, who are making their debut in the film. Showing support for her brother, Navya Naveli Nanda shared an old video clip of Agastya, where he’s seen passionately playing the guitar, reminiscent of his character in the song Sunoh.

Accompanying the clip, Navya wrote, “Been Rockin’ and Rollin’ for a while Archie ♥️🎵 #Sunoh @thearchiesonnetflix @netflix_in.” Agastya and Navya’s mother Shweta Bachchan commented on her daughter’s post and wrote, “Ahahahahahaha. I remember this, adorable.”

In addition to Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi, The Archies also features Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Dot, and Yuvraj Menda in the lead roles. The song “Sunoh” is composed by Ankur Tewari and The Islanders, with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar and Dot. The vocals for the song are provided by singer Tejas.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, The Archies has been the subject of trolling, with some comments about the cast not looking like they hail from India. In response to these remarks, Zoya addressed the issue in an earlier interview with Mid Day, stating, “I don’t know if [the trolling] is about my films. It’s about all films now. Everyone gets trolled!” When the interviewer brought to Zoya’s attention a particular tweet that went viral, suggesting that she had finally shown Indians as they’ve always wanted to be—white people, she responded, “Well, they are all Indians. Are you saying fair people aren’t Indians? How do we define what an Indian looks like? It could be Hrithik Roshan. It could be Mr. Rajinikanth, Diljit Dosanjh, or Mary Kom. That’s the beauty of India.”

Set in 1960s India in a fictional town called Riverdale, The Archies is a coming-of-age musical that follows the lives of the town’s favorite teenagers, including Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton.
