Praying for Chennai, Ranveer Singh said, “Truly our hearts go out to the people of Chennai. It is absolute war zone out there. I know because I am getting updates from a dear friend of mine who is facing a lot of trouble. At a time like this, our government and everybody else can stand together and help our brothers and sisters in Chennai. I pray that everything works out and condolences to everybody who has lost dear ones in the flood.”

Sending out a message to everyone to do their bit in preserving earth, Ranveer said, “I think the world needs to look at what we are doing to Planet Earth because when you face nature’s fury things can get quite bad as we have seen. I think it is an alarm for all of us to do our little bit to save mother earth.”

Chennai on Thursday (December 3) turned a virtual island and coastal areas of Tamil Nadu were marooned after unprecedented rains in 100 years pounded the city, its suburbs and neighbouring districts destroying road and rail links, shutting the airport and rendering thousands homeless.
