Mohit Suri calls Sidharth Bhardwaj ‘unprofessional’, says he ‘didn’t want to take a punch from Sidharth Malhotra’
Sidharth Bhardwaj had earlier claimed that he was not satisfied with the role offered to him by Mohit Suri in Ek Villain.

Filmmaker Mohit Suri has reacted to former actor and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Sidharth Bhardwaj’s claims regarding his dissatisfaction with the role he was offered in the film Ek Villain, which starred Sidharth Malhotra. Suri dismissed the claims and criticised Bhardwaj’s behaviour, describing it as ‘unprofessional’. He also highlighted Bhardwaj’s tantrum on the day of the shoot.
In an interview with ETimes, Suri said, “He didn’t want to get beaten or even take a punch from Sidharth Malhotra in an action scene. And he did that on the day of the shoot.”
Suri said that Malhotra was unaware of the situation, but it was unprofessional of Bhardwaj to create a tantrum right before the shoot when the scene needed to be filmed. As a quick solution, Suri had an assistant director step in, since there was no time to find a replacement actor.
Bhardwaj responded to Suri’s accusations, and suggested that the director should consider purchasing a dictionary to understand the meaning of “highly unprofessional.” He shared a video, and wrote in the caption, “I have nothing against Mohit Suri, if calling me highly unprofessional makes him sleep better at night then I gladly accept the compliment.”

Bhardwaj had earlier said in an interview that he walked out of Ek Villain because of script changes. The actor told ETimes that Suri had changed the entire script, and was also giving him a f**kall role. “In the first scene, I slap myself with shoes, I pee on myself and Siddharth Malhotra burns me alive. There’s no recovery of me in the entire movie,” he said, adding that he tried to address his issues with the filmmaker.
Ek Villain also starred Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, and became a box office success. Bhardwaj is currently trying his hand at standup comedy in the US.
