‘What Priyanka Chopra achieved is a tight slap on their faces,’ says cousin Meera Chopra
After Kangana Ranaut, Meera Chopra has tweeted in support of her cousin Priyanka Chopra and opened up on the plight of "outcomers" in Bollywood.

Priyanka Chopra recently opened up about being “cornered” in Bollywood, which is why she decided to pack her bags and try her luck in America. Following her revelations, her Bollywood contemporary Kangana Ranaut tweeted in her support, and now, Priyanka’s cousin, actor Meera Chopra has also shared her two cents on the matter. Meera wrote on Twitter that Priyanka’s achievements are a ‘tight slap’ in the face of her detractors.
Meera retweeted Kangana’s Tweet and wrote about the plight of “outcomers” in the Hindi film industry. She wrote, “No matter how big or successful an outsider becomes, but in the end they will still be an outsider. Cutting them, smothering them will never stop, if you don’t follow the rule book. But what @priyankachopra achieved is a tight slap on their faces!!.”

Before Meera, Kangana had claimed that filmmaker Karan Johar “bullied” Priyanka and “chased her out of the film industry.” Kangana has been beefing with Karan for years.
Slamming him, Kangana had written, “This is what @priyankachopra has to say about bollywood, people ganged up on her, bullied her and chased her out of film industry” a self made woman was made to leave India. Everyone knows Karan Johar had banned her.”
Priyanka will next be seen in Citadel, created by Russo Brothers. The show will stream on Prime Video from April 28. The actor will then make her comeback to Hindi films with Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. Her last Bollywood film was The Sky is Pink in 2019.
