Manisha Koirala pens an appreciation post for Indian co-star Kamal Haasan: ‘You never cease to amaze me’

Years after sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan in Indian, Manisha Koirala meets the actor ahead of the release of Indian 2.

The nation has been singing praises of Kamal Haasan for his performance in the Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer  Kalki 2898 AD, and Manisha Koirala has joined the chorus. The Heeramandi actor took to Instagram and wrote how her Indian co-star is one of the most brilliant minds she has had the opportunity to work with.

Sharing a picture from her reunion with Haasan, Koirala wrote, “One of the brilliant minds that I had an opportunity to work with..books and films and now fashion is his world !! He recommended amazing books that stretch one’s mind & soul…his unique & deep observations on life amazed me decades ago…his cinematic understanding is unparalleled… I can have long hours of conversation with him or rather listen to him talk for hours..thank you Kamal Haasan ji for all that you do and all that you are!! You never cease to amaze me each time I meet you!!”

Commenting on Manisha Koirala’s picture, a fan wrote, “The super hit Jodi of Indian, lunching & exchanging thoughts on the eve of Indian 2, in Chennai, where the first part was shot. Meeting of minds, salutations to Kamal Haasan and Manisha Koirala.” Another fan asked them to share screen space again and wrote, “Want to see the both in theatre again..how lovely they both are.” A third fan commented, “One of the best combos in the industry. Please do another movie together.”

On the work front, Manisha Koirala was last seen as Mallikajaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, was seen in Kalki 2898 AD. He has Indian 2 coming up next, followed by Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life.
