Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal’s pregnancy announcement

On September 23, Katrina and Vicky took to social media to share a photo announcing the happy news. They wrote: “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude. 🙏🏽”

Katrina’s pregnancy had also made headlines as she embraced motherhood at the age of 42, proving once again that age is just a number when it comes to becoming a mother.

On September 28, Katrina had shared warm birthday wishes for her ‘devar’ (brother-in-law) Sunny Kaushal. Posting a photo of Sunny, she wrote on her Instagram story: “Happy Birthday @sunsunnykhez. May all the best things in life come your way this year.” Sunny replied, “Thank you. The best thing is coming very very soon,” with smiling and heart emojis—subtly hinting at the baby’s arrival.

Speculation about Katrina’s pregnancy had been going on for months. A photo of her in a wine-red gown with a visible baby bump went viral earlier, further fuelling excitement. Reports also suggested she was due in October or November.

It was also in August this year that a viral social media post reignited pregnancy rumours around Katrina and Vicky, with fans speculating that she and Vicky are expecting their first child.

The post, widely shared on Instagram, features a photo of Katrina and Vicky alongside a graphic of baby footprints next to adult ones. The text read: “In 2025, we become a family of three,” sparking a flurry of congratulatory messages and assumptions about a possible pregnancy.

The post also claimed the baby is due in October or November 2025. However, no official statement was made then by the couple, but the post was then believed to be fan-created rather than an actual announcement.

Katrina and Vicky, who tied the knot in 2021, have remained one of Bollywood’s most-loved couples. Their baby announcement has now left fans overjoyed, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

What Katrina Kaif said on motherhood

Katrina had said in a 2019 interview that she wants her children to grow up with both parents. She has also reflected about growing up without a father figure in her life. “Not having a father figure does create a certain vacuum and makes any girl feel vulnerable. When I have kids, I want them to have the experience of being with both parents… It must be nice for those who have strong fatherly support. A male figure who loves you unconditionally. Each time I’ve gone through something emotionally hard, I was compelled to reflect that it must be nice for those who have a strong fatherly support from a male figure, who loves you unconditionally,” she had told Filmfare.
