Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, Merry Christmas marks the first collaboration between Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.

Actors Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film Merry Christmas finally got a release date. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, the movie will release in theatres on December 15, 2023. The makers have recently unveiled new posters featuring Katrina and Vijay, which exude a vintage vibe. In the posters, both Katrina and Vijay can be seen sporting a slightly serious mood. There is a taxi in the poster and a quote which read, “Raat jitni saangeen hogi, subaha utni rangeen hogi.”
The Hindi version of the film co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in the same roles. Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte will also have cameos in the film.

Katrina had earlier opened up about working opposite Vijay. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actor had said, “As you said Merry Christmas, working with a director like Sriram Raghavan, he is one of my favourite directors. I love the kind of thriller stories he tells. Working with a phenomenal actor like Vijay (Sethupathi), and then Tiger 3.”
She added, “Working again in that franchise that I have so much regards for because Adi (Aditya Chopra) gives Zoya’s role that kind of prominence and importance in the action, and I love doing action. Of course, working with Salman again is fantastic. The minute I heard the story, I just immediately said yes. I didn’t even tell Ritesh (producer) that, ‘Okay, let me see, give me a few days’, because I felt that this concept and story was something unique enough to be told.”
Katrina was last seen in the film Phone Bhoot.
