Dining With The Kapoors is now streaming on Netflix, offering viewers a look at the iconic Kapoor family. The special sees the entire clan, led by Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, joined by Neetu Singh, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and other family members for a lunch hosted by Armaan Jain, celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor. During the special, Kareena recalled the time when she was “fired” by Neetu Kapoor for eating a lot during her pregnancy.

Here too, Neetu pointed at Kareena and said, “You eat a lot.” Kareena then interjected and said, “You saw me when I was pregnant, and you were just firing me by saying ‘don’t eat too much.’ And I said ‘I’m pregnant,’ and she was like, ‘so what.'”

The exchange didn’t stop there. Around the grand lunch table, Ranbir reminisced about his grandmother’s baked mac and cheese, describing it as one of his first core food memories. Neetu added that every dinner used to feature the dish, prompting Kareena to share with the entire family how Neetu never missed a chance to tease her for enjoying it a little too much. “What Neetu aunty has done to me in my pregnancy is that when I was eating the baked dish, and I was eating so much, she would say, ‘Kitna kha rahi hai?’ I said, ‘I’m pregnant, I’m allowed to eat.’ But she was like, ‘Don’t eat all this.'”

Previously, speaking about her cravings during her pregnancy on Instagram, Kareena revealed that she couldn’t resist pizza. She also shared that she was often “woken up at midnight with major dessert cravings.” The actor even admitted to ‘terribly’ craving a glass of wine. However, she noted how her body changed during pregnancy, confessing that she sometimes felt like “throwing up” after having her favourite food.

While the special features the entire Kapoor Khandaan, one notable absence was Ranbir’s wife, actor Alia Bhatt. Her absence led to speculation among fans, but Armaan Jain, the creator of the special, along with Smriti Mundhra, put the rumours to rest. In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Armaan explained, “She had prior commitments to shoot. I might sound filmy, but like Raj Kapoor said, ‘work is worship.'”
