Kapil Sharma is all set to return with season four of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, and the makers have raised excitement by unveiling a promo featuring the season’s first guest—global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas. While previous seasons opened with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan, the upcoming season kicks off on a grand note with Priyanka.
In The Great Indian Kapil Show promo, an ever-enthusiastic Kapil is seen proudly announcing the new season. Promising bigger laughs, he says, “The fun will be four times bigger, the mischief four times wilder, and the madness four times crazier.” He then adds with flair, “Our guest today is known across all four corners of the globe!”
As Kapil welcomes Priyanka Chopra Jonas onto the lavishly decorated stage amid thunderous applause, the banter begins almost immediately. Noticing Kapil’s transformed physique, a surprised Priyanka asks, “How did you get so slim?”
A proud Kapil replies in English, “Actually, I was acting with four heroines,” leaving Priyanka even more amused. “Look at him, jabbering away in English,” she quips.
Kapil, who often jokes about his discomfort with the language, confidently responds this time, “Now, you can speak to me in English.” However, as Priyanka starts using a more sophisticated vocabulary, a nervous Kapil quickly jokes, “This kind of English hasn’t come to India yet.”
Priyanka then poses a playful question: “If you wake up one morning as Priyanka Chopra, what will you do?”
Never missing a chance to flirt, Kapil replies, “I’ll immediately call Kapil Sharma and tell him, ‘The past is behind us, but you are the true love of my life.’”
The promo also features Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek in their Baahubali avatars, sending Priyanka into fits of laughter. “I had forgotten how much they make you laugh on this show,” she says.
Kapil then asks her how she met Nick Jonas, joking, “Did you send letters through pigeons?”
Priyanka replies with a smile, “Not a pigeon, but the bird on Twitter’s logo.”
A shocked Kapil instantly quips, “I’m on Twitter too—hum par case ho gaye,” followed by, “Sajan pardes ho gaye,” leaving the audience in splits.
The promo also shows Priyanka participating in fun segments with Sunil Grover, who cracks a cheeky line: “Kitne bhi laptop aa jaayein Priyanka ji, par jo baat PC mein hai, woh kisi mein nahi.”
Priyanka, who was last in India for an event for her film with SS Rajamouli Varanasi, reportedly flew to Mumbai for just 12 hours to shoot for the show. She even shared a reel of her preparations and behind-the-scenes moments from the set. Her appearance was officially confirmed last week when Navjot Singh Sidhu shared BTS pictures from the shoot, further fuelling fans’ excitement for the new season.
The first episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4 will premiere on December 20.
