Kangana Ranaut says Sanjay Leela Bhansali approached her for a dance number in Ram Leela: ‘How can you portray women like this?
Previously, Kangana Ranaut claimed to have rejected roles in Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan as well as Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju.

(Photo: Kangana Ranaut/Bhansali Productions/Instagram)After claiming to have refused to work in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, and Sanju, Kangana Ranaut has now claimed she was offered a dance number in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s Ram Leela. Kangana said she turned down the offer as she couldn’t portray a women like that.
In an interview with NBT, the Queen star said, “Even Sanjay Leela Bhansali called me for an item number in Ram Leela. Everyone said I was crazy for turning him down. I can’t do it. Whether it’s Bhansali or anyone else, I just can’t. How can you portray women like this?”
The particular clip from the interview has gone viral on Reddit. A fan commented on the post, “Sanjay Leeea Bhansali said Aishwarya was offered the song before it went to Priyanka. Priyanka was amazing in the song and its impossible to imagine Kangana Ranaut doing the same justice to the song.”
Previously, Kangana Ranaut claimed to have refused roles in Salman Khan’s films Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana called Salman ‘kind’ and said, “Salman offered me a role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, I was like ‘Yeh kya role diya hai? (what is this role?)’ He then approached me for Sultan. I didn’t take that up. He was like, ‘What more do I offer to you now?’”
In the same interview, Kangana even claimed to have refused a role in Sanju, despite Ranbir Kapoor’s personal request. She even recalled how Akshay Kumar called her and asked, “Do you have a problem with me?”, when she didn’t do films with him.
Kangana Ranaut is currently gearing up for the release of Emergency on September 6.
