The trailer for Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency was finally launched at a grand event in Mumbai. It was attended by the film’s cast — Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, Mahima Choudhary, and Shreyas Talpade. While addressing the media, Kangana, who took over two years to complete the film, spoke about being boycotted by the film industry. The actress-turned-politician also claimed that many in the film industry become extremely negative and vile and tried to ruin her career. The Queen star revealed how her PR team asked her not to speak at the Emergency event.

“I have faced many obstacles while making this film, which is common with every film,”Kangana said at the event. “Every film faces a lot of obstacles and then they find many angels who support you through those obstacles. I want to say a special thanks to my cast. Everybody knows I have been boycotted by the film industry. Its not easy to stand with me, its not easy to be part of my film, and its definitely not easy to praise me. But, they have done all of it.”

She also said that her PR team put ‘an emergency’ on her ahead of the trailer launch. “Just now my PR team put Emergency on me. They said, we are not going to open up to the media. But, Anupam Kher pitched in and he said ‘this is media, they are all our friends, we don’t have to put and Emergency here.’ So, I think I will open up to you,” she told the press.

Kangana also claimed that there are people out to sabotage her. “This is mostly for people who are waiting to override this project with negativity. They will invest in PRs to malign the film. That’s our only concern. Our industry people can be extremely negative and vile, and attempt to sabotage films and ruin people’s careers. So, we are just concerned about them, I openly speak in the Parliament.”

Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, first announced during the pandemic, is all set to hit the theatres on September 6. The film was re-scheduled twice due to several reasons.
