Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s chartbuster song Jaati Hoon Main from their 1995 film Karan Arjun’s song still remains an iconic number and the former says she had “no idea” what was being done in the song. Kajol, however, credited her close friend and longtime collaborator Shah Rukh for easing her into the song.

The song, composed by Rajesh Roshan, was choreographed by Chinni Prakash. In an interview with The Hindu, Kajol was asked what behind making the song, which has been dubbed as a “tastefully done steamy” track.

Kajol recalled that she was mostly clueless about the song design and merely did what she was asked to do. Kajol then said it was Shah Rukh, who made her comfortable to do the song and mentioned that the superstars just “gets it” what women are okay or uncomfortable to do.

“I had no clue what was being done. I was told before the shot ye karna, woh karna hai and I did just that. Bohot mushkil se kiya, lekin kiya (It was tough to do, but I did it). I would say one thing about Shah Rukh that he is still one of the most understanding costars because he understands what is uncomfortable for a woman to do and not to do and he tries his level best to make you most comfortable to do that.

“I would say that he is the most understanding of actors that I have worked with in my whole (career). He really gets it, that, ‘This is not comfortable for her to do and it’s ok, I will figure a way out to make it as comfortable as possible,'” she added.

Kajol will be next seen in Netflix’s Lust Stories 2. The anthology consists of four shorts, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, R Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh.
