Kahaani 2 trailer: With the first video from this Vidya Balan-starrer, it seems the kahaani has just started. Sujoy Ghosh, we can’t wait for this thrill ride.

Kahaani franchise has always been a riddle wrapped in an enigma — whether it was a pregnant Vidya Balan searching for her husband in the first film or now when she looks like a mother in Kahaani 2 trailer. We say looks like a mother because this is Kahaani 2 and as we learnt last time round, never take anything at the face value.

But there is one thing we can guarantee: This Sujoy Ghosh film will hit you hard and you will remember the impact. Starring Vidya and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles, it is the story of a woman who gets a threatening call and rushes out looking for her daughter. She meets with an accident and lands in a coma. Rampal is the cop investigating the case. What starts as a hit-and-run soon turns into a complex case with past secrets, kidnapping, murder and a child in the middle of it all.

A sequel to 2012 film Kahaani, this film is eagerly awaited and the intriguing posters and teasers shared by the makers of the film have kept the anticipation high. Our curiosity to know more about Durga Rani Singh, the character played by Vidya in the film, is at all-time high after watching this trailer.

The film, keeping in view its earlier part’s success, has Amitabh Bachchan’s support. Big B shared the trailer of Kahaani 2 on Twitter saying: “Here is the Kahaani2Trailer.” We still remember Rabindranath Tagore’s powerful rendition of Ekla Chalo Re in Kahaani.

The trailer is powerful and high on emotions. Director Sujoy Ghosh tweeted this morning a few details of the film where he mentioned that the run time of Kahaani 2 is 1 hour 59 mins. A new poster of the film was also shared this morning which read: “Durga Rani Singh has more to her Kahaani! Here’s the official poster of #Kahaani2. Trailer out tomorrow. @vidya_balan @sujoy_g @PenMovies.”

Kahaani 2 is being co-produced and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film will release in December.
