Jolly LLB 3 Advance Booking: Akshay Kumar-Arshad Warsi-starrer off to a rocky start, struggles to get past Rs 1 crore mark
Jolly LLB 3 Advance Booking: Accounting for block seats, the film has received advance bookings worth Rs 2.17 crore for opening day.

Jolly LLB 3 Movie Advance Booking: The world of courtroom drama within Bollywood has given the audience some iconic films such as Damini, Pink, and the Jolly LLB franchise. Now the latter is coming out with their third instalment starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, and advance bookings for day 1 are already live. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film is currently on track to earn Rs 74 lakh and 2.17 crore, including block seats, on its opening day. While it’s not the moon and stars, it is definitely a start, and the makers of the film will be hoping that word-of-mouth works in their favour.
While these are still early estimates, director Subhash Kapoor would have been hoping for greater numbers, considering he is merging the worlds from the first and second films. The first instalment came out in 2013, starring Arshad as the morally ambiguous lawyer turned righteous prosecutor. The cast also included Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla, Amrita Rao, Manoj Pahwa, and Sanjay Mishra. The film was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 12 crore, which means that its India net collection of Rs 32.43 crore was a good ROI. Even though the numbers dwindled towards the end of the 2-month-long theatrical run, the film earned Rs 3 crore on its opening day.
The second film came out in 2017 and blew the previous film’s collection out of the water. Starring Akshay, Saurabh, Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor, Sayani Gupta, and Kumud Mishra, the film made over Rs 117 crore during its time at the theatres. It too had better opening day numbers and earned Rs 13 crore on day 1. This means that the third instalment, which is fuelled by technically twice the star power, is currently playing catch-up with its predecessors. Along with box-office troubles, the film is also faced some flack and modification from the CBFC regarding inappropriate language and alcohol usage.
The total amount of tickets sold is over 23.9k, and the film will have 3617 shows on its first day, bringing its average to just over 6 tickets sold for each show. Without accounting for block seats, the film has earned Rs 74.24 lakh. The cast of the film includes Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, Saurabh Shukla, Seema Biswas, and Sushil Pandey.
